Privacy notice
Effective 6 November 2026 · Notice version 2026-11-v3
This notice explains how The Orange Boat Private Limited (“The Orange Boat”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website, and the material you share with us for an audit. We prepared it with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 in mind. Under those laws, we are the party that decides why and how your data is used.
Who we are
The Orange Boat Private Limited, Financial District, Hyderabad 500032, Telangana, India. Email privacy@theorangeboat.com or call +91 83330 12936.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us and a small amount of technical information.
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You press Agree and continue | Name, mobile number, website or Instagram handle, and anything else you’ve entered in the form so far. Also the page and button you used, the referring page, campaign tags in the link (such as UTM, gclid, fbclid), the notice version you saw, and signals from our bot checks | To contact you and prepare for your audit, understand which marketing brought you to us, keep a record of your consent and filter out bots. We save this at step 1, so we may contact you once about your request if you don’t finish the form |
| You complete the form | Email, business name, what you sell, your role, budget range, biggest challenge, your message, and whether you want an audit or a proposal | To prepare your audit or proposal, schedule it and send your written fix list |
| You tick “growth notes” | Your choice to receive them | To send occasional growth notes on WhatsApp or email. This is optional and off by default |
| You prepare for or join an audit | The ads, landing pages, numbers and screenshots you send us, for example on WhatsApp, and what you share on the video call | To carry out your audit and write your fix list |
| You visit the site | IP address and basic device and request details | To deliver the site, keep it secure and tell people from bots |
Please don’t send us student names, phone numbers or other personal data about your students. Totals are enough for an audit.
Our basis for using your data
We rely on your consent, which you give by pressing Agree and continue, and then the submit button, after seeing the notice above each. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing privacy@theorangeboat.com, or by replying STOP to any growth note. Withdrawing won’t affect what we did before, but we may be unable to deliver your audit without the data. We may also process data where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this website and contact you, and only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
- Google: the spreadsheet where form responses are stored, email alerts to our team, and email
- WhatsApp (Meta): when we message you, or you message us
- Our video-call provider: when you join an audit call
We may also disclose data if the law, a court or a government authority requires it. These providers may handle data on servers outside India. We use them only where Indian law allows such transfers.
How long we keep it
If you don’t become a client, we stop using your details when you ask or when your audit ends, and erase them about 12 months after our last contact. We keep the minimum records the law requires, including a record of your consent, and use those for legal purposes only. If you become a client, your details are kept for as long as our contract and legal record-keeping duties require.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Correct, complete or update your data
- Delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it
- Stop using your data, by withdrawing consent
- Record someone you nominate to use your rights if you die or become unable to act
Email privacy@theorangeboat.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can ask for this notice in English or any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
Grievance officer
If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, contact our Grievance Officer:
Teja Undavalli, Grievance OfficerThe Orange Boat Private Limited

privacy@theorangeboat.com · +91 83330 12936
We’ll resolve your grievance within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with the outcome, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How we protect it
The site runs only over encrypted connections, and form data passes through bot and abuse checks before it’s stored. Access to responses is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Cookies and similar technology
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, so there’s no cookie banner to accept. Our site stores campaign tags in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab, so a form submitted later in your visit still shows which link brought you here. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. If we add analytics or advertising tools later, we’ll update this notice first and ask for your consent where needed.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn’t directed at anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we’ll post the new version here with a new date and version number. If a change affects how we use data you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
